The Dance Zone was founded in the year 2009 by 3 people who felt that in North India, particularly in Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida and Faridabad, despite a large number of young aspirants wanting to learn dance, there weren’t enough quality dance studios and those that existed in and around the capital were very expensive. So in order to do something about this, they started The Dance Zone at Paschim Vihar in a 200 square feet studio. Young students flocked in and the academy grew. Today after a few years, The Dance Zone is one of Delhi’s best known names for quality dance training.
The emphasis at The Dance Zone has always been on providing education that matters, on managing the centers professionally – starting and ending classes on time, providing a comfortable environment to students, choosing young but well trained instructors and so on. Though there are hiccups in running multiple centers to 100% perfection, The Dance Zone has done very well in standardizing the process, using technology for managing the institutes and in promoting Indian culture to foreign tourists visiting Delhi.
The Dance Zone is dedicated to teaching ‘authentic’ western and modern Indian dances at reasonable fees. Of the total studios, some are fully self-managed and some are in partnerships with other popular gyms, banquets, hotels, schools and colleges – the charges in these branches are usually higher. The Dance Zone has dedicated professional choreographers on its rolls who conduct more than 100 classes per week at its various studios.
There are 3 popular schedule variations for regular students. 5 days a week, 3 days a week and twice a week depending on dance forms and the level of course. We also do private classes and home/office visits. The Dance Zone also has corporate training/team building experience for companies that want to conduct say Salsa classes of fitness workouts like Zumba and Aerobics.
Most centers are open every day from Monday to Sunday. The Dance Zone also conducts special classes for working persons (office goers), kids and ladies in different batches during the day and in the evenings. Some of the dance forms and fitness workouts taught are Salsa, Contemporary Jazz, Modern Contemporary, Bollywood, Hip Hop, B Boying, Zumba, Aerobics, Power Yoga, Yoga, Boxing, Kick-boxing and sometimes Indian classical dance forms (during some months of the year). Apart from teaching dance, The Dance Zone also provides wedding dance and marriage choreographers and studio hire.
